Riverwalk July 2020 Construction Update

Development Victoria provide the latest construction update for July 2020

Demolition of Powercor Building 

Commencement of works are expected in early August with completion in October. The demolition will make way for the future Town Centre and mixed-use development.

Delivery

The following stages and sites titled in May and June 2020: 

  • Stage 24A
  • Stage 24B 
  • Stage 25 
  • Stage 26  
  • Medium Density site (Lot Y) 
  • Sports Oval: The sports oval was subsequently handed over to Council at the end of June.

The status of construction works on site are as follows:

Stage 23A: Civil construction is progressing well and nearing completion. Base course asphalt and wearing course will be installed with signage and line marking to follow. Practical completion is anticipated in mid-July with titles to follow in August.

Alfred Road Intersection

Phase 3 works to widen the Geelong Road and the crossover for the 7-Eleven are ongoing.

Phase 4 works has been approved and works are due to commence at the end of July. This phase entails exposing and re-coating the high-pressure oil pipeline that runs under the intersection. Alfred Road will be closed for during these the majority of these works.

Stages 27-29

The site compound has been established and site fencing installed. Bulk earthworks have commenced on all stages and are ongoing. Stockpiled material is being relocated to a future stage of the development.

Coldstream Creek - Parts 1 & 2

Civil and landscaping works of the first two parts of the Creek are now complete. Council Inspection has taken place with minor rectifications required. Practical completion is anticipated towards the end of July.
