Construction has started on the new Wyndham South (Riverwalk) Primary School, located at the corner of Timbarrra Drive and Coldstream Avenue in Riverwalk.
Set to open in 2020, the new school will meet the population growth in the area and cater for new families within Riverwalk and surrounding suburbs.
Preliminary works have been completed, with the full construction now underway by builder ADCO Constructions.
The new primary school is one of 11 schools to be built across Victoria as part of a commitment in the 2018-2019 budget to providing state-of-the-art schools in growing suburbs and towns.
Development Victoria’s Group Head Property Neil Anderson said the new school would be a great addition to the Riverwalk development, particularly given the number of new families moving into the estate.
“This is great news for all of our new families within Riverwalk, with the school offering the best facilities for primary school students,” he said.
